The Connection is Silent

I said I love you. Your mouth repeats the words back to me but your heart did not hear my words. When the heart is dear, the brain can mimic but the actions cannot lie. The placement of your hands push me away as you say I love you. Your eyes never leave the TV screen as you say I love you. Your head never rises above the morning paper as you say I love you.
