Luke 9:24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it. How is it that one can still say that the Kingdom of God is somewhere “up there” after reading this verse? Here is what is being said: One who saves his life (not literally, but spiritually) that is, does not destroy one’s self – one’s ego – to allow for Spirit to enter, will ultimately lose that life. The next level after the Vision-Logic consciousness/spirituality level is the seventh level known as Psychic Consciousness. And this is the level where things really start to get interesting. At this level an individual becomes aware of what some call the Permanent Self, the part of the self that is beyond our understanding of space/time. It is possible to access the "Kingdom of Heaven" while still living in the present. Mystics have tried for centuries to map the inward spiritual path to Christ Consciousness. Now that the concept of levels of spirituality/consciousness has been established through the writings of several saints and mystics from different religions, it's time to look again at reincarnation and why it is such a hard concept for some people to accept as even a possibility. Since saints and mystics have written that one may move from one level of consciousness/spirituality to another during one's lifetime, then the concept of an evolving spirit is established. When one looks at the concepts of levels of consciousness that lead ultimately to the Christ consciousness as mystics define them, one can also see a correlation between the levels of consciousness and the levels of love offered and lived in by humanity today. The lower levels of consciousness, typically identified as the mythical (level 2) and rational (level 3) is where most of humanity's consciousness resides. There are higher levels of consciousness then most of us are aware of. It is beyond our daily "awake" consciousness and our nightly "dream" consciousness. This higher level of consciousness is the Kingdom of Heaven that Yeshua/Jesus teaches about. It is a consciousness beyond the reality that we are familiar with. So, here is an interesting thought. What if Jesus/Yeshua did not die on the cross for our sins? What if he died on the cross to show us what we would need to go through spiritually in order to become closer to God?
