Proof That The Kingdom of God is Within Each of Us

Luke 9:24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it. How is it that one can still say that the Kingdom of God is somewhere “up there” after reading this verse? Here is what is being said: One who saves his life (not literally, but spiritually) that is, does not destroy one’s self – one’s ego – to allow for Spirit to enter, will ultimately lose that life. Not lose as in death, but lose as it never reach union with “God”.... Sign in to see full entry.

The Last Three - And Most Unusual - Spiritual/Consciousness Levels

The next level after the Vision-Logic consciousness/spirituality level is the seventh level known as Psychic Consciousness. And this is the level where things really start to get interesting. At this level an individual becomes aware of what some call the Permanent Self, the part of the self that is beyond our understanding of space/time. Others call this self the Witness, that part of the self beyond body, mind and emotions. Some Christians call this the “small still voice within” (Ps 46:10)... Sign in to see full entry.

The Next Three Levels of Consciousness/Spirituality

In a previous post on 9/26, the first three levels of consciousness/spirituality were discussed. The levels discussed prior as well as those to be discussed later in this post, are examples individual, group and global levels of spirituality/consciousness based on the work of child psychologists, adult psychologists and religious mystics. The information shared in these posts comes from the book Putting on the Mind of Christ by Jim Marion, an American Christian mystic. The fourth level on Ken... Sign in to see full entry.

Men Never Do Evil So Completely And So Cheerfully As When They Do It From

Religious Conviction. Blaise Pascal said this. And he had it right, for the most part. Today's religion is not the way to a closer connection to "God". Religion, as we know it today, is an administrative bureaucracy that works to control one's ability to get closer to "God". Mark Twain said, "Man is the only animal that loves his neighbor as himself and cuts his throat if his religion isn't straight (the "correct" religion)." Today's religions, in the form of going to church, performing rituals... Sign in to see full entry.

If Someone Believes Theirs is the Only True Relgion, Don't Hold it Against

them, they can't help it. It is the level of spiritual evolution that they have reached that determines their ideas. Ken Wilbur, an American psychiatrist and Christian Mystic identifies a nine-stage process of consciousness/spiritual evolution. I am going to give a brief description of each. To truly explain each stage would take many pages from this blog. If you would like to learn more read Putting on the Mind of Christ, by Jim Marion. The information that follows comes from that book. The... Sign in to see full entry.

Live in the "Kingdom of Heaven" Today!

It is possible to access the "Kingdom of Heaven" while still living in the present. Mystics have tried for centuries to map the inward spiritual path to Christ Consciousness. Typically, these maps were drawn based on the experiences of those creating the maps. The first "traditional" Christian map is credited to St. Clement. The Clement map laid out a three-stage path of innner growth: purgative (purification of ego and selfishness); illuminative (personal spiritual insights and understandings);... If Spirit Can Evolve, Then Why Can't Reincarnation Be A Possibility?

Now that the concept of levels of spirituality/consciousness has been established through the writings of several saints and mystics from different religions, it's time to look again at reincarnation and why it is such a hard concept for some people to accept as even a possibility. Since saints and mystics have written that one may move from one level of consciousness/spirituality to another during one's lifetime, then the concept of an evolving spirit is established. If one can evolve... Sign in to see full entry.

Following the Bible and Doing Good Works Alone Won't Get You to Heaven

When one looks at the concepts of levels of consciousness that lead ultimately to the Christ consciousness as mystics define them, one can also see a correlation between the levels of consciousness and the levels of love offered and lived in by humanity today. The lower levels of consciousness, typically identified as the mythical (level 2) and rational (level 3) is where most of humanity's consciousness resides. This means that from a spiritual perspective, most of humanity is not too evolved.... Sign in to see full entry.

The Kingdom of Heaven is a New Reality

There are higher levels of consciousness then most of us are aware of. It is beyond our daily "awake" consciousness and our nightly "dream" consciousness. This higher level of consciousness is the Kingdom of Heaven that Yeshua/Jesus teaches about. It is a consciousness beyond the reality that we are familiar with. And it is accessible to us all, if we are willing. Our souls are lost. Our souls, once a part of "God" are removed from "God" upon the birth of our ego. Our souls feel completely... Each of Us Must Die on the Cross

So, here is an interesting thought. What if Jesus/Yeshua did not die on the cross for our sins? What if he died on the cross to show us what we would need to go through spiritually in order to become closer to God? Many mystics (Christians and otherwise) believe that part of the process of ascending to higher levels of consciousness (some call it Christ consciousness) includes an extremely painful process of killing the ego - like killing the flesh - in order to allow "God" to fully envelope...
