The big run-up!

I would have hoped the stocks would have done better over the past few weeks. They have been disappointing, to say the least. I'm backing these in a big way, and everything is resting on the market going up. Of course, it will, but I suspect we will have to wait another month. Everything depends on other people making things work and the best of that is China making more computer chips. Tesla cars have ground to a halt thanks to the bottleneck in the supply chain, but once they get... Sign in to see full entry.

Live to fight another day!

I've received a reply from the council, and it's good news Things remain the same and there is no change to my status. This means that things can carry on as normal. What a relief it is to have your life back on track. Thanks to everyone who sent me support. Sign in to see full entry.

Judgement!

Once again I have to go cap in hand to the local council, to ask for my Housing benefit to continue. It's less than a thousand pounds a year, but I've come to rely on it, especially since things took a dive last year. The problem is that I'm judged by the gross of all my accounts, and with the Trading account, it puts me at the limit of what they can allow. If things go against me, I will have to return at least a thousand pounds. It will knock me back, but it's all so depressing. Thank God the... Sign in to see full entry.

Chickens!

Chickens! We are looking after the neighbours' chickens for the bank holiday weekend. The countryside is overrun with foxes, as no one hunts them anymore. And I mean the farmers, not those idiots in red coats. My sister lives in the city of Peterborough and says they have so many foxes hanging around the dustbins. But we have to let them out in the morning and lock them up at nights. I don't mind it now, but they used to have a giant Cockrell we nicknamed: Lenin. for British viewers, they will... £1

Money Waiting for the last of my pension to turn up in my current account. Saw the earnings of £4,817 for the year were just: £1. Can't see any future for pension pots. Big earnings week for the big boys. Sign in to see full entry.

Big day on Monday.

I'm seriously thinking of taking the last of my pension out and putting it into the business account. This would mean I can have the last of it for buying shares. It might only be about $5000 but I can do a lot with that, and it's earning such a small amount in the Pension fund. I'm fed up with sitting around and worrying about money when I can use this money to get me out of the dark. No big problems at the moment, but we need a lot more incoming if we want to be free for the future. Having a... Sign in to see full entry.

Keep B... on

This is a brief note to just keep the account alive. Nothing new, but nothing bad either. My teeth feel a lot better now my tooth is out, so I can concentrate on my other ills. If I was still in work, I would shrug them off, but now I sit and think about things too much. People moving in the village and I want to write more about village life, but I'm worried it might boil down to tittle-tattle. The money is doing OK, not as much as I would like but the market is so down right now there is... Sign in to see full entry.

Duke

The news is full of nothing else but the death of the Duke of Edinburgh. We will get this for days now. Then they will plan the funeral and the procession. The only people who are looking forward to it all are the flower sellers. Sign in to see full entry.

Tooth Out!

Finally had my tooth pulled this morning. The Novocain was so strong I could have pulled it out myself with a pair of plyers. (If I had the guts). Life is on the up. Everyone is talking about coming out of Lock-down and with a warm spell over the Easter Holiday, things look good. Sign in to see full entry.
