A big down day for all the stock market, but sadly one we were all expecting. Some stocks were deliberately manipulated by users on Reddit and Robin Hood. Gamestop was hyped to the point of madness, going up 1,000%. This is a disaster for anyone wanting to make genuine money. When it gets like this, the best thing to do is stay away! Keeping on. Just to keep my hand in, I would love to talk about the stock market. Not the sexiest of subjects, but one which had done well for me in the past months. I've given up on currencies as you can't predict which direction they are moving in. Who would have thought the Dollar would fall so low and then begin to pick up? The looming of the coming day. I am so glad I no longer have to work at Morrisons the supermarket at Christmas time. The utter dread of the shop being closed for just 24 hours sends people into a panic. How can they survive a day without a bottle of milk? Sadly for most people shopping is their only entertainment. They don't go out. they don't drink in bars or dine in restaurants or visit the theatre. For them, the world has to be served up on a plate and the supermarket offers this with little... I can't help but be alarmed by the news that Phillip Green's Arcadia group have folded talking Debenhams with them. Sure, they had it coming, and if you live outside the UK you will have no idea what I'm talking about. But next year will be one of the worst recessions in living memory unless you are in the stock market. The Nasdaq and S&P 500 are at records highs. Making up all the losses from March. Just dropped in to let people know things are going well. The money is slowly coming in, and although we have been served some real curveballs, we are pulling through. I hope other people are doing well too. Hopefully, we will have a vaccine rolled out by the spring in the UK. Although the commercial world has been dealt a death blow here.
