Green articles.

I’ve decided to go all out on the non fiction articles. The best way of achieving this, is to write about something you at least care about. The more I research the subject of eco- building, the more I get into it. Of course I know nothing about the building trade, but that doesn’t seem to matter, as long as you get your facts right. After all, I’ve worked on building sites, and know enough builder, to know, you don’t have to be an expert in anything to build a house. You don’t even have to be... Sign in to see full entry.

Full steam ahead

I'm going all out now on the Green articles. Pleanty of scope for the Green building stuff, and it could not be more comercial! Novel on back burner now, as we start the long slow march of the agents. I hope I can find a market for the articles. Steve. UK Sign in to see full entry.

Agents

some of the agents have already got back to me, to deliver the bad news. Many have not. I'm determined not to let it get to me, as I have done in the past, but to press on. One of them must crack! Steve. UK Sign in to see full entry.

Gosford park

Gosford park Watched the film Gosford park last night. Enjoyed it, but it put me in mind of the eternal class struggle and not a murder mystery. Maybe that’s what they wanted. I remember an episode of Upstairs Downstairs, during the general strike. A relative of one of the maids came to the house, when they were taking part in the strike, in London. There came a point when the striker said to the head butler and head maid, that they should come out on strike, with the workers. Of course they... Sign in to see full entry.

Final First draught

Final First draught Well I’ve finally finished the first stage of the Novel. Far from happy with the ending, but anything is better than sitting and wondering. Strange how it takes over your life. the novel becomes everything. everything revolves around getting that message down on paper. I’ve always had this vision of running from the house, with the min of goods. Putting that disc in my pocket, as I run out the door. Sting to think that everything you have ever written can be put on one CD... Sign in to see full entry.

Finger almost burnt

I've decided to just stick to my little corner and not get embroiled in any other bloggs. After putting in my coments to other people's site, I've found that if someone does not dig what you say, it can run way out of control. Apart from the feeling that you want to go round and smack their stupid faces, you feel it's all a wast of time. Spring looks like realy taking it's hold on the garden, with everything growing at run away paces. The novel is reaching the point of completion, with only the... Sign in to see full entry.

Election fever.

The wonderful election is upon us, here in the leafy lanes of England. What a joy it is to have grown men and women, spout off, on how they intend to change the world. what is even sadder, is the fact that most people won’t even bother to vote. They don’t even know what voting is! Around here, they are so inbreed, that people seen walking upright and not dragging their knuckles on the floor, are seen as dangerous outsiders. Maybe Tony and his friends, are aiming their campaign at these people.... Sign in to see full entry.

Move over Rover

Move over Rover! So it looks like the Rover car firm has gone the way of all British manufacturing, and finally closed. There is a part of me that says: sure, let them face up to market forces, and the big bad world. But once out there, they could not last. If I was to make this computer in England, and ship it to the other side of the world, it would cost me 2 to 3 thousand pounds. You can import the same thing from China, and sell it for 200! How can they possibly compete? The fact is, they... Sign in to see full entry.

Closure on Stalin

Watched a TV play called Arckangel, by Robert Harris the other week. One interesting thing he came out with, was that the Germans managed to come to terms with the Nazi era, through the Nuremburg trials. The Russians have not been able to face Stalin, because they have never had any mirror held up to them. No one has ever said, this was all wrong. These people were monsters and you should feel ashamed. Sure, they will never face any punishment, or the full force of any legal system. But... Sign in to see full entry.
