A strange mood

Biopsy. The word sent a shiver down my spine. I had gone to a dermatologist to have her look at several spots, one near my right eye that hasn’t healed for six months. It didn’t take her long to announce she wanted to do a biopsy and had me sign a form to approve the procedure. Now, I sit and wait.... Sign in to see full entry.

I wonder…

It is my opinion that Geraldo Rivera owns major stock in the AFLAC insurance group. I say this because he seems to be yelling “DUCK” a lot these days. How many people thought they had found a hot porn site, only to discover they were reading Monica Lewisky’s court deposition? Kraft corporation... Sign in to see full entry.

Howard, Stern-O’d, rises from the ashes.

It seems the comments Howard Stern made of his own demise were pre-mature. Suddenly conservative talk-radio hosts have a liberal competitor with a loyal audience. He claims it was his questioning of Bush’s politics that got him in trouble rather than the naughty talk. Of course the conservative guys... Sign in to see full entry.

That “other” question.

Barbara Walters stared down her interview subject, sets her jaw and asks a question that confounds the senses. “Scott, did you kill your wife Lacey Peterson?” I am dumbfounded. What did she expect? Scott, knowing that he is in front of a kazillion people, being recorded on tape, every twitch... Sign in to see full entry.

Bush and his service record.

There are many concerns about President Bush regarding just exactly what he did in the Air National Guard. To those beating their chests to the drums that hint Bush may have done something “wrong” in the years in question, be wary. If you are going to bring up the conduct of a serviceman, then you’d... Photo Expose

Full frontal, all me. No misleading headlines here. Mr. Palm spread wide. What you have all been waiting to see? As you can see, there is the palm of my hand and if you read my sports blog, Ballet on Dirt, you know that is my last name. So it’s doubly true, Mr. Palm’s palm full frontal spread wide.... A revealing photo.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, I’d better get busy. This is one of my favorite things to do: get on a mountain top and just enjoy the view. You can also pretend you’re a guru, but business will usually be slow. This particular mountain is called Granite Peak and is located in Stevens County... Sign in to see full entry.

There oughta be a law.

Frivolous lawsuits are all the rage these days. Fat? Sue the fast-food companies. Lung cancer? Sue the cigarette manufacturers. Dumbass? Sue the school board. These lawsuits overstep the bounds of what we need to be protected against. One simple law could change all that. I’m speaking of a proposed... Sign in to see full entry.

Freedom of speech or…

Might we say responsibility of speech. Howard Stern has brought us to the brink of the “slippery slope” if you believe the liberal line. The conservatives have him sending our nation’s children to hell in a handbasket. So what is it going to be when the dust has settled? To many, freedom of speech... Sign in to see full entry.

Obesity

Life threatening health problem or human right? Daily on the news it seems one hears about the growing threat of obesity. A report today claimed obesity was gaining on cancer as the number one killer of Americans. We know it is bad for us, yet there are those that see their life-style threatened by...
