I think most of us even know, at some level, that Perfect Love casts out fear. The truth is that Love and fear cannot exist in the same place at the same time. And their relationship is just the same as that of light and darkness. Where light enters, darkness cannot remain. Darkness has no power to eliminate light. Where love is, fear cannot remain.
