Christmas the Danish way.

Christmas has come to Denmark. Children will unpack a gift from their Advent calendar every single day from now until the 24 th December. Count-down to Christmas.

The festive season is under way! Yesterday was the first Sunday in Advent, which is also the official start of the D ani sh Christmas season. They were off to see the world!

In May 2006 after three days in Odessa, Ukraine, I caught the over-night train to Simferopol. From there I traveled on the world’s longest trolley-bus route (54 miles/86 kms) to Yalta where I would spend the next week at an Esperanto gathering.
