Dorathy is a really good friend. She saved my life. Do you remember your first grade teacher? I was thinking about mine just the other day. Then I tried to remember all of my grade school teachers. - I could recall my first grade teacher Mrs. Hill. Boy this has been a noisy day. There has been all kinds of noise coming from outside. There was the rat-tat-tat of the jackhammers, the whoosh whoosh of the cement mixer and of course the BEEP BEEP of the bulldozers backing up. - So when I took Bo out for our walk I was surprised to find only the street sweeper whirring down the street. My front doorbell rang at 6 AM. It woke me up...Bo barked. I peeked out the window. It was a neighbor and dang...she saw me! I was looking for a pet food store that sells 'California Natural' dog food. It was supposed to be in this strip mall. I saw a sign that said "Do it yourself dog wash." I dove on passed it. I went all the way around past a bakery a jewelry store a bookstore and a deli. - So back I came to that sign and sure enough at the other side of the "Do it yourself dog wash" was the pet food store. Almost every time I watch a new TV show I manage to to see the same episode two maybe three times. It happened when I started watching "Everybody Loves Raymond," Joan of Arcadia," and this year "Ghost Whisperer." - I heard that "Ghost Whisperer" was pretty good. So I tuned in. They were doing a report on the news about people who buy health insurance for their pets. They focused mainly on dogs. The woman they were featuring had two beautiful Labrador retrievers. One was gold the other black. - She bought insurance for them when she got them. This worked out well for her as one had cancer that cost $4,000.00 to treat. First it was laser eye surgery. That was bad enough, but the extreme high costs and the fact that it isn't covered by insurance made most folks think long and hard before they tried it. They left out possible side effects too. - Then they started advertising every kind of prescription drug! There is even one sold by what I call the 'depressed dot.' Today Bo, my dog, and I walked past several patches of wet cement. No one else was around, we passed by. - Did I think about writing or stepping in the wet cement? Oh Yeah.
