My 40th birthday is the perfect example of Murphy's Law at its best. Everything that can possibly go wrong did. Suddenly I found myself behind the wheel of a fairly new RAV4 with no brakes, and no control of the wheel. Next thing I know, I woke up paralyzed at the bottom of the hill lying on the grass surrounded by red flashing lights, fire engines, police cars and a noisy ambulance.
