It's gone. Stripped and scattered on the ground like the others. It did bloom for one day, facing the light and dancing in the breeze. I suspect we cannot really ask for more than that in our lives - a day in the sun before we go back into the mystery. I cannot help it. I resent the spiteful impulse... Sign in to see full entry.
