Messy Roommate?

Have you ever had a messy roommate? Or perhaps, you were a messy roommate. I am the latter. I bought some tomatoes on the vine and left them on a bottom shelf for days and days. They were kinda out of sight and I didn't bother checking up on them. I didn't use them and they went bad. The seeds... Sign in to see full entry.

A negative experience

I don't care for movie theaters. They are the worst place to see a movie because: 1. Need to hire a babysitter just so you can go. 2. Stand in line for tickets. 3. Pay too much for tickets. 4. Pay too much for refreshments. 5. Sit in a big dark room full of strangers. 6. Endure dozens of commercials... Sign in to see full entry.

Do happy marriages exist

I ask the question because they seem to be so rare. Three of the happiest looking marriages I knew have ended. Two by the death of the husbands and one by divorce. The rest of marriages are still intact but they don't seem all that happy. Sign in to see full entry.

Saw Mission Impossible III

The movie was good but, oh, how I hate cinemas. $4 for popcorn. $3 for bottled water. We couldn't get 3 seatas together so me and my two cousins had sit apart. I sat between two unknown men. They were fine but I wouldn't just normally sit between two unknown men but that's what cinema makes you do.... Sign in to see full entry.

Single Moms Marry

I read an article about a study that found that the chances are low of a single mother making a good match when she finally gets married. The article said that single mothers do not fare well in the marriage market. Not great news for me. Sign in to see full entry.

Faker!

I'm learning to stop being fake. Fake smiles. Fake joy. Fake satisfaction. Fake holiness. Fake enthusiasm. Other names for fake-ness include tact, diplomacy, discretion, politeness, political correctness. I don't want this job. A job isn't something you have control over. The job belongs to the... Self-worth

It's finally dawning on me what little self-worth I have had all my life. I did not see myself as being worthy of the best and I didn't respect myself enough to strive for the best in anything. Not at school, not at work, not at play. I gave my time, my heart, my body, my worth to men who did not... Sign in to see full entry.

I make more money than you

Why does it bother a man when his woman earns more than he does? I hear men say "If my wife ever made more than me, I'd be happy because it just means more for me." They all say that, but when they actually end up in such a situation they're miserable. I know a man in that situation right now. His... Sign in to see full entry.

A Desparate Move

This weekend I moved into a new apartment out of desparation. I was renting a room from and living with a friend in her two-bedroom condo. We had a disagreement in early April and she asked me to leave and gave me until the end of April to do so. I got a new roommate and we moved into a new... Sign in to see full entry.
