Well I am pretty certain that Mal is right and the Hen was never a Hen
but always a rooster. He has just grown up a bit. I do not think he will go in a pot for soup as I have fallen in love with him. He is gorgeous and has now started to sprout the most lovely tail feathers. Roosters have more feathers around the neck too. He is such a handsome fellow.The black feathers are tinged with greenish hues and he is very funny to watch as he scratches the ground and finds something and calls the hens and the other rooster over to share with them so he has very good Midos...
