The redeemption of a first born donkey in Melbourne

I did not go to this event and had intended to but I did find photos on the net about it. It is fascinating and is a very rare mitza as not many donkeys in this day and age are owned by Jews. If we do own a male donkey that is the first born or first issue of its mother donkey, we have to redeem it. As a donkey can not enter the grounds of the Beit Hamikdosh it has to be exchanged for a sheep that will be shected or slaughtered eventually. Here is the link to the photos.... The Apology

I am waiting for my son to wake up to apologise to him and ask his forgiveness for something that happened yesterday evening. He was having a bath and before I left upstairs, to go downstairs to get his dinner ready, I put his fresh underwear and his pyjamas on his bed to be ready for him to put on once he got out of the bath and dried himself. I continued the preparations for his dinner as I wanted to do it quickly in order that he should get to bed as it was later than our usual dinner time.... Sign in to see full entry.
