IS THE LORD IN THE HOUSE

Oh how regal is the mahogany and crimson velvet sanctuary. Straight backs, tight coifs, camel hair and silk give it an air of sanctimony. In the loft the choir is robed to the nines, Sopranos are trilling, baritones spiraling and the bases seeking an arc. Here comes the man clad in a matt black robe and spit shine shoes. He approaches the podium, his eyes search the crowd for faces he needs to see Deep in my heart I wonder, is the Lord in the house? Far away, out of sight and sound are those...
