Friday thoughts
The snow is coming down in great fluffs like feathers from some cosmic counterpane... They pile up inches deep on everything, and Caliban, at his usual post in the upper right of his habitat, seems mesmerized. Seems, I say, because he is just about always there in that position as if gazing out into the world. It's possibly because he longs for freedom, or possibly because it's the best basking spot on a sunny morning. Who can know what a chameleon thinks, if he thinks, what he's looking at, how...
