I had forgotten this shot until I found it in a collection of random photos. This was taken with a Nikon digital camera set on a slow exposure using a 300 lens. It was odd there were no stars in the immediate area of the moon, but you'll see none here. Of course, I was zoomed in big time on the... Sign in to see full entry.
Got One!
There was one lake in particular where the local eagles would dive-bomb the water surface to grab fish. This adult female is heading back to her nest where the male was babysitting the kids with a juicy shad. Check it out. Sign in to see full entry.

A Beautiful Purple Flower From Our Yard
These are about the size of a five-cent coin... a bit over an inch... and our yard was carpeted with them! Simply magnificent. Check it out. Sign in to see full entry.

Mine!
I have an entire series of about ten photos taken during this tussle over a rabbit between a fox and an eagle. The bird had a MASSIVE wingspan, well over seven feet wide. The fox had a lot of determination and luck. He didn't get the rabbit he had caught, but after he fell from about fifty feet, he... Sign in to see full entry.
Elusive Grouse
This isn't the clearest shot I've ever taken, but a grouse isn't an easy bird to sneak upon. This young lady and I played 'hide-n-seek' for several minutes before I was finally able to get this shot. Check it out. Sign in to see full entry.

The Owl and the Aura Borealis
I took about a dozen shots of this wonderous event, but it wasn't until I began to look at them that I spotted the owl sitting on the telephone pole. Check it out. Sign in to see full entry.

The Tahquamenon Falls - March 2019
This was the first time I ever took Lisa to see the falls. Our relationship was growing, and I was showing her my home in Newberry. Things were picking up between us, and a friendship was becoming a love affair. She asked if we could visit the falls and then Lake Superior. It was a lovely (and... Sign in to see full entry.

Two Moose at Night
This was a scary moment. We were traveling down a back road to visit a friend who needed help changing a surgical dressing, and these two creatures just wandered out in front of us. This was taken with Lisa's cell phone, so it isn't the sharpest shot I've ever posted, but you can clearly see these... Sign in to see full entry.

Two Trees in Winter
Lisa and I were walking back to the car after spending the day walking around this lake. I happened to turn back and I said to her, "Those trees look just like us, don't they?" We are two trees, standing side by side in the winter of our lives. A rather beautiful thought. Check it out. Sign in to see full entry.
