I ran out of food and it was a good thing.

Yesterday I was invited to a sumptuous meal at my VietNamese sister, Thu's new house in the foothills. She made Mexican food for us and some of her normal fabulous food. I ate little, but ate so very well. She rocks on tamales, from scratch and her machaca was wonderful. It was her daughter's birthday and her house warming and a get together of friends and relatives visiting from Houston and Saigon. Fun. I sat between a Buddhist woman with a shaved head and soft voice from Houston and a car... Sign in to see full entry.

I made a music playlist from my radio memories in youth...

You might like my music or it may creak and meander too much for your attention span. My Playlist Here But, it makes me want to grab some young fellow from my vanishing images of youth and dance for hours and hours and hours.....as I used to. Like the Leather Man dancing in the parking lot in TGIF the Movie.....I LOVE to dance!!!! Sign in to see full entry.

Nobody reads your blog...

Panties with Username, Password and a lock on them, Geek and Gamer merchandise, is too much fun to read. Wait, Image Loading, is all that it says on the shirt..... I am not a Geek, I'm a Level 12 Paladin, a blogger saw Paladin on a car plate and thought of the old cowboy and not the new gamers.... Your company's computer guy..... I logged out for this!?!?!?!? And my favorite, Not even Norton can protect you. And there is an anti Shephard Fairy shirt with a Disobey logo. Great.... Anyway, go read... Sign in to see full entry.

Am I the last person without a cell phone?

I have said, since its inception and "Little Joe's" death, that I would never use one. I knew that they scrambled brain matter. Mom made me take hers to the Trade Show in Phoenix, with the usual "just in case something goes wrong" scenario. I have driven up to Phoenix for decades sans cell phone and don't see the need for one now. Everyone on Earth has one and if something goes wrong, I'll just borrow someone else's. The phone rang and rang, my brother put a doorbell ringtone sound on it.... Sign in to see full entry.

I saw a beautiful custom truck with chrome balls hanging down off of it.

They are all the rage in Arizona and Texas and should be everywhere soon. BullsBalls is the original maker of them and if you scroll down their page, you see them in all colors to match your truck or car or van. Theirs are heavier and so don't wiggle waggle painfully all over at higher speeds, like geeky balls made by others tend to do.... Just thought that I should pass that on as they really were darling little thingies on a fabulous truck. This fellow's truck was a deep, 12 layered glittered... Sign in to see full entry.

Grandma spent hours watching tv here...

I watch international movie shorts on mogulus.com and then discovered Current T.V. and lost more hours. Thank goodness I gave my real t.v. away. I have found much better tv online. This is just the next place discovered. I will keep searching for the best sites to entertain and to inform myself. Did you know that Jimi Hendrix's burned guitar is about to be sold? Neither did I. My new forms will be used as an example for the State of Arizona !

I made some forms for my friend to use when submitting her paperwork on foster children. It shows what and when and all that, for the FAX machine submissions, which sometimes go awry or are said to have not been fax'd.... When they received it all today, the people in the offices there said that they were going to use my friend's paperwork as an example of how they hope to encourage others to work and to document the children. They will be having a State inspection of their offices and cases and... Sign in to see full entry.

Rain dancing accidentally burns the popcorn.

I had the new talking microwave making some popcorn for me. Then the computer played the Electric Slide and I had to jump up and dance. I was so focused upon remembering those steps and doing it all with style, that the popcorn began to burn on the bottom of the bag. I had been trying for rain, as it has been aching to rain all day and NADA. So, then the Cha Cha Slide came on and OH YEAH! the popcorn burned while I moved my hips around the room. DJ Casper gets me going. I ran in there and the... Sign in to see full entry.

The 8 empty houses next door were boarded up this weekend.

I thought that they had sold at auction and were to be renovated, or finished with as someone else had started a renovation before running out of equity cash, I'm suspecting. Dos mexicanos were cleaning up, I knew by their music from Cananea and Monterrey that they were Spanish speakers. They could be gringos, but I spoke Spanish with them, I like to practice or I'll forget. They were hired to clean up the property, to board windows and were told that the houses were to be finished, luego,... Sign in to see full entry.

Grandma is gathering boxes for cactus and for moving foreign students.

I am going to go find lots of small boxes for heavy nopal cactus today. Then, I am going to find larger boxes, AMTRAK says 36" by 36" by 36" for shipping. Did you know that it costs $154 to go by train from Tucson to Madison, Wisconsin? It takes 60 hours and there are reclining seats with foot rests for sleeping, a dining car and a lounge with music sometimes. A person may take two suitcases and three boxes, 36x36x36, 50#s each, all for free. The train goes from here in Tucson along the Mexican... Sign in to see full entry.
