finally get it

I think one of the reasons I'm writing this story where the lovers have been separated for like ten years... I need to believe I'll be okay, walk forward and still be who I am. what if

What if one took the main character of one's work, one's biggest story, most favorite story... and just didn't want to write it with someone else anymore... walk away, recreate the character and go forward.
