Anyone know a good web-dork?
I posted this in the Bunny Blog, but I thought I would repost it here where a potential web-dork might see it.
Creative people need not apply! I have already designed my new site to the last detail, something I've done before, and my webmaster has always programmed it up for me. But this time he is protesting, probably because my new site is substantially different from my old ones.
I came up with the new design on the advice of my brother, but programs the sites of his extremely successful web-based businesses. I am confident this is the way to go, but my webmaster, who has designed many sites for people in 100% different fields than me, scoffed and said, "You could do this yourself in Front Page!"
And I could, if I had time to learn it, which I don't, especially since I was planning to have the new site up by January.
I asked the webmaster for a quote anyway, to see if maybe I should give it a stab, but he hasn't gotten back to me yet. So I thought, maybe there is someone out there who doesn't mind being a web-dork and programming up my site. And I thought, why not ask my fellow Blogit-people, who I know are always on the web?
