The Encounter

The area was government land, but privately leased. The locals called it 'Old River', due to the oxbow lake that had formed by the shifting, sinuous Red River nearby. It was chocked full of gamefish, and several amiable horses dined on the lush grasses surrounding it. The dirt path wove over a levee... Sign in to see full entry.
