Why Do Bloggers Feel the Need to Refer to Themselves in the Third Person?

I had a relative who spoke about himself in the third person. It seriously scared the family--- and outsiders when they figured out he WAS "x," the person he wrote and spoke about by name when he posted (posts as he's still doing it) articles on the Internet or gave (gives) his orations to captive... The AP just reported that the US government via the NIH has tested AIDS drugs on hundreds of foster children over the last 20 years. The AP also added that it researched the basic facts to find that these children often were not give the minimal protection afforded by people under the law. As... Sign in to see full entry.

Editors are idiots

Okay, I mean me. As I'm proofreading a guy's book, I just posted my last thing here with a typo in the main part. I hate that. I had a major typo in my first post. (Okay, no need to look. I'm embarrassed enough.) I know I'm anal retentive about it. My son had to pull me out of a grocery store... Sign in to see full entry.

The Patriot Act rolls on. Congress moves foreward with renewing it...

So what do you think? The most unlikely bedfellows are together on this one Creatures from the left, creatures from the right...together on this. It's an odd phenomenon, isn't it? Is there anything that will put a stop to it? Despite its far reaching powers, the things that *can* be done in theory,... Sign in to see full entry.

Finger This!

Okay, we need to do a hand check. A guy just reported he found a finger in some custard. Anyone spotting a trend here? So, what do you do about these people if they're lying (giving a big benefit of the doubt to the last guy here). Better yet, what would the Ayahtollah have done? I'll bet you don't... Most of my writing, fiction or non fiction, centers on some personal nightmare. Sometimes the nightmare has a name---like ebay. I'm going to tell you a little story children...then I hope you'll share some of yours. I am looking at this for a future article. I'd also like to know the steps you took... Doggie Divorce

You can't make this stuff up. Okay, I keep saying that, and I'm lying. I could (and sometimes do) make this stuff up. I just didn't thing time. I'm working on an article about divorce, and somehow I kept wandering into the issue of pets. People used to go berserk figuring out who got the album... Sign in to see full entry.

Can You Believe This? The Popemobile for Sale?

You can’t make this stuff up. This comes from Reuters. Since the new Pope will have a new vehicle, he won’t be needing his old wheels, so it’s up for grabs on the German edition of ebay. It started at close to $13,000 American dollars on Wednesday. That’s a bit simplified. The vehicle is being sold... Sign in to see full entry.

Can you believe this? Fighting Cows in Switzerland

A Day in the Life of Mim The Fighting Cows of Switzerland By Kim & Mike You can’t make this stuff up. The funniest comic strip I’ve ever read is the Washington Times. In fact, without trying, most newspapers rival the best comedic bits. The heck with Reality TV. If you *really* want to warp a... Sign in to see full entry.

Can You Believe This: GWB was Stretching it a Bit

You can't make this stuff up... I thought heard something by mistake during the presidential press conference, but now I think I was too stunned to believe it or question it. Did you all see this? When it came time for the press corps to ask questions, GWB pointed to one guy and (I'm fairly sure... Sign in to see full entry.
