Chapter XIII Jessica viewed the evidence in her mind. Her mother died, thus her daughter became a hunter. You can’t be willing when being changed into a vampire. Once a vampire, you become human again. How? That’s not exactly certain. Her father is missing. Possibly still alive, in a sense. Her mother? Maybe her death was staged, but she was still dead. Chapter XII Aron watched as Jessica attempted to limp out the door. He knew she was hurting, but he also knew that her pride would disallow her to ask him for help. “Jess, wait.” He said. She stopped but didn’t turn around to face him. He grabbed her arm and brought her back to his apartment with his mind. He reconstructed the other night and gingerly lay her down on the bed. Chapter XI Jessica left the cemetery with a heavy heart. No body, and an empty casket. There are more pieces to this absurd puzzle than there is space for, and half the pieces don’t fit together. Jessica got to wondering on her journey back to town. How did any of this even happen? She walked the luke warm familiar route back to Aron’s apartment. Chapter X Aron went back to the club in search of Damon. His plan wasn’t to tell, but to deceive. All is fair in love and war, he thought. Cheating and lying come hand in hand.
