Still Coughing

I have been to the dr. for three days now. I think maybe I have the right antibiotic now along with all the inhalers and neulizers and steriods. I took he first dose this morning and was wiped out all day. So no more steriods. I have gone back to part time and working 3 days a week. I want to get rested for Jax and the holidays. I gained 15 pounds in 2 days so I was checked for congestivc heart failure. I doubled my diuretics and added potassium and lost 7 pounds over night. I was checked for... Sign in to see full entry.

The Wonders of Rest and Whiskey

I have spent three days in bed sipping rye whiskey and hiney and lemon with the exception of the manipedi and massage yesterday afternoon. Today we went to the wedding and I hardly coughed at all. Of course the chocolate red wine helped trememdously. It was a beautiful ceremony with a blending of the sand. It was held at a historic home called the Ramsey Mansion just outside of Knoxville,. The time has come to care for me

Actually Rick is caring for me. I have agreed tp stay home form work the rest of the week. I have had to go have an x-ray today. The diagnostic code was acute bronchitis. One of my members gave me a recipe for geting rid of the cough. It is 2 part rock rye whiskey and 2 parts honey and 1 part lemon juice. The first batch I heated on the stove with extra lemons for a toddy for the body. An hour later still coughing and used more whiskey and less honey. Three hours later the cough is still... A Doctor Day

I've had this cough now for a month. It had become decidedly worse the last 3nights. Up down and up and down and hack,hack, hack. So after my first visit today Iwas able to have an appointment with my Dr. which is a rarity for same day appointment. I had a suprisingly short wait and then the fun began. I got a nebulizer treatment to open my airways. I actually agreed to a steroid shot which I never do because of my reaction. I have to go and have chest xray. I have 2 inhalers and a new... The Baby Shower

It is all coming together. The date set, the invitations ordered and have been shipped, the right color of tiffany blue found for decorations and the serving dishes being readied. Brooke has made a diaper cake, and ten smaller ones for the centerpieces for the table. I bought the candle sticks and cystal looking plates at the Dollar Tree yesterday for the making of the Cake Stands. IT'S A BOY

WE ARE HAVING A BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is due January 18, 2014. His middle name is Neil after my first son who was stillborn. They haven't picked out a first name yet. I am going hog wild looking at baby clothes and buying. I got him an outfit that has a tie printed on a little shirt and pin strip pants and hat and white spats. Time FlysWhere Did theSummer GO????

here has the summer gone? Here we are into September. Of course, the rain didn't make things rememberable. It was one dreary rainy day after another, it seems. Today was just absolutely beautiful. There was not a cloud in the sky. It only got to 85 today but it was humid. Rick was off and drove me today. I had to go have trigger points injections this afternoon in my neck and shoulder. Beach Trip

Sunrise at Myrtle Beach. We just got home from a 4 day trip. We had a great time and celebrated out first anniversary of being together. We ate so much great seafood. We went to a murder mystery audience participation play. Nice experience but don’t think would spend the money again. We went on a dolphin cruise but didn’t get to see any dolphin so we have a never expiring ticket to take another cruise. We ate at Juel’s Hurricane Restaurant on the Little River. Where Does the Time Go.

This summer has flown by. Well, mostly floated by with all the rain. Of course, losing a month to an abcessed tooth didn't help. I don't know the connection but anything that has to do with teeth be it going to the dentist or a toothache causes a Fibro flare. That tooth certainly kicked by butt this past month. There was no extracurricular activity other than work and sleep. It finally quit hurting last week but I'm still dealing with the Fibro and Chronic Fatigue. However, one more week and... Rain, Pain Go Away

We have had rain everyday this month. The bridge I have to cross to get home usually has about 10 feet from water level to arch of bridge. The water drifts lazily downstream. Now when I get home, the water level is about 3 feet from the arch of the bridge. The water rushes down stream at a furious pace. I hsve had to stop and pull over because I couldn't see to drive. Teamwork

Rick and I painted today. It has been a long, long time since I didn't have to do everything by myself. He is so organized. We went to Sherwin Williams and had our paint mixed and picked a paint for the chest and dresser. We both immediately picked that same color for the furniture and for the front deck porch. He is off this week and is stripping and sanding the front deck porch. We finally have our bedroom decorated the way we want with our beach theme and the right colors on the wall. The... A Weekend in the Woods

ick and I spent the weekend at Hot Springs Spa in a secluded cabin. Hot Springs is a natural hot mineral springs. We had our own hot tub jacuzzi. It was a much needed break. Cabin 10 the delux cabin with a bath and shower. It also was equiped with a mini kitchen and dishes. The bedroom was a loft room that we had to climb a ladder to get to. Thanks Mom We Have a New Car

An interventon from the other side has happened yet again. Last week the Scion's air conditioning line stopped up again. Of course, it was a Butler/Boone day which means a curvy mountain road by the lake. So I got a shoe full of water every other curve. The lease is about up so after I had the line fixed on Friday, Rick and I went looking at a car for me. I am traveling about 100 miles or more a day. We weren't going to buy just look. I'm Going to Be a Granny

I'm supposed to be quiet about it but I can't. I'm so excited. It will be a January baby. Blake and Yvette are having a baby. They sent me a picture of the stick that said yes. We had a family cook out on Monday wih Yvette's family. Kavira is just as excited. Yvette can't eat and she's really tired. She is still in Grad School for Public Health and working full time. Work Fun, Fun, Fun, Fun, Fun

Work is fun. What more can I say. I never enjoyed a job more except for delivering babies at the moment of the delivery. I have been so busy seeing members and training nurses for this area. We are booming. I am finally getting to work the area I am most familiar with since I've trained nurses for Kingsport and Bristol. I am keeping my favorites in Bristol though.
