Green Bay And Dallas Set For Thursday Matchup; New England Sneaks By

Well, Philadelphia sure gave New England a reality check. For a team that has rarely seen another team within two touchdowns by the end of the day, New Englands surely did not see or feel that luxury as Philadelphia hung on until the end, only to fall three short, 31-28. They even had a final... Sign in to see full entry.

New England Stomps; Dallas And Green Bay Win; Indy Nearly Loses Third

New England didn't even think about what they were doing, just rolled right over Buffalo, 56-10. There is little doubt in the AFC who will be their representative in the Super Bowl (barring a huge upset). Indianapolis seems to have lost their footing after their loss to the Patriots three weeks ago.... Sign in to see full entry.

#2 And #4 Fall To Unranked Conference Rivals; Ohio State Sees Roses

It all started Thursday night when the #2 Oregon Ducks fell to their conference rivals, Arizona. Oregon became the fifth #2 team beaten this year by an unranked team. So goes another team's hopes for the national championship. #4 Oklahoma lost by a touchdown to unranked conference rival Texas Tech,... Sign in to see full entry.

They're Three Months Two Late With The Bonds Indictment

You can't change history, people. Regardless of the result of this Grand Jury indictment against Barry Bonds that was handed down today, the record will stand. I mean, think about it? The Giants played all the teams that culminated in the World Series won by Boston. Games were decided by Bonds' home... Sign in to see full entry.

It's Official: NFC West Is Worst Division In NFL

Truly. Name a division worse than the NFC West. You can't. St. Louis won thier first game yesterday (leaving Miami as the only winless team in the NFL). Arizona is 4-5. San Francisco is 2-7. And Seattle is 5-4. Pathetic. The only divisions close to them are the NFC South and the AFC West. Speaking... Sign in to see full entry.

Another #1 Bites The Dust

Well, #1 Ohio State went down hard yesterday to a very good Illinois team. The loss takes Ohio State nearly out of the running for the BCS championship (some are saying completely, but you never know -- every team in the Top Ten could lose in the next two weeks). The defeat sets up the matchup with... Sign in to see full entry.

Anybody Keeping Up With NASCAR?

With all the hooplah over the New England-Indianapolis NFL game, everything David Beckham does, Boston winning the World Series, the start of the NBA season, and all those crazy upsets in college football -- has anybody been paying attention to the dogfight going on in NASCAR? Jeff Gordon and Jimmie... Sign in to see full entry.

New England Wins Mini-Super Bowl

Two interceptions by a very good Indianapolis defense kept the score from being worse than it was, but New England prevailed, coming back from a 10 point deficit and helped by a last possession fumble by Payton Manning, 24-20, in what was hyped as the biggest regular season game in NFL history.... Three More Upsets This Week, Including #2 Boston College !!

And boy did they go down hard. Unranked Florida State (doesn't that just sound odd?) upended the #2 Eagles, 27-17. Once beaten #5 Oregon showed what they were made of today and destroyed the undefeated #4 intraconference rivals Arizona State, 35-23 (beleive me, the score does not reflect the beating... Brett Favre Rocks In Overtime!! Indy -- Pats Headed For Mini Super Bowl!!

Monday Night Football was another barn-burner. Man, I love Brett Favre. Talk about a good game. When Denver hustled onto the field at the end of the game and kicked that short field goal as the time ticked off the clock and sent the game into Overtime, I was thinking, "Damn, guys." But, then, Brett... Sign in to see full entry.
