One thing is needful

I could tell about my day, but it's about the same as all the others. So, I was thinking about a scripture that was read at church yesterday and it' been imprinting on my mind. It is in Luke 10:42 "But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her." I was at church and wrote it down, only I wrote, Mari hath chosen that good part, then I wrote, Mariposa hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her. I guess it's called... A restful day

This mornings' worship service was really good at church. It's very refreshing and encouraging for me. This month the new "theme" is to read the New Testament this summer. I am thinking I will do that. I have read it before, but lately have been skipping around in my Bible reading. It's cloudy today, but rather hot. It is much easier to bear than the cold weather for me. I am just resting today and will be having a full week again. I will be leaving for my trip to Mexico in 2 weeks and 5 days. I... My day so far...

I woke up at 7:00 this a.m., which is early for me. I wrote down a dream that I can't remember now, unless I look at it again. Greg and I went out for coffee after that. There is a place downtown that has good coffee, and 1 refill is free. I was really glad I was able to spend some time with Greg as we have been both working different shifts and hardly see each other it seems. Clementina stayed overnight at her friends' house. Our Short Life

Last night I was talking with my husband and asking him if it bothered him working with someone he knew might not live very long and he said it did. I started pondering all the friends in the last year that I have had that have died:Bok khe, Shari, Julie, Jodi, Martina, Goyo, Josefina, Teresa, Margarita, Jim, Patti, & Carmen, Some were very good friends, others I didn't know as well. The Crossing

Here is a video about a man who escaped from North Korea. It is fictional, but is based on a true story. I was able to meet the man whose story this is about while in South Korea last year. The whole movie is in Korean, but has English sub-titles. It is a full length movie, but if you are interested, you can go to you-tube to watch the whole movie. About this Blog

I plan on writing about past and present life experiences and what I have learned from them. I also want to tell stories of things in my past, some humourus, some serious and some trivial. I have done some traveling and want to describe those places and people accurately, maybe in some cases changing names if I see it could embarrass someone. I will write out of my heart and hopefully give hope to some of my readers. I do not have all the answers, but have lived long enough to know there are many trials in life and obstacles. I want to examine life, it's simplicities and complexities and share my observation and at times opinions with others.
