Camping trip with lots of friends

I had a wonderful time at Festival of Tents. Each year there are less people, but it was still good. I guess it's been going on about 15 years, with 7 churches involved. They used to have special missionary speakers come in, but the last 2 years has been only local speakers. When we first arrived we found a nice shady spot near where we camped last year, a little away from the crowd. After the tent was almost up, the new camp-hosts told us we had to move. Plans for this week...

I pushed the wrong button and lost my post. It wasn't very good, so I'm not too disappointed. I'm pretty tired, so I'll just say I've been working a lot. My 3 daughters, a 20 year old friend and I will be leaving for the coast after my doctors' appointment. I am going in to have a cyst removed from my thumb. We will be visiting our long-time friends for 3 days, then on Friday are going to a Christian event called "Festival of Tents". Basically everyone camps out for 2 days. There are meetings... Upcoming events and trivia

We are enjoying very nice weather right now. It's hot, but not extremely so. Sunday we went to a baptism after church. One man baptized just lost his left arm 4 months ago. He was very encouraging and brave. Another, a young girl, age 14. Today "Bob" leaves again. He's been here since the end of June. Petra and Clemy return from visiting their grandma in Nebraska. Farmers' market went well...

Too tired to write. Just checking in to say I will be blogging as soon as I am able. House/dog sitting went great and so did the Farmers' Market. I spent all day Friday making little books, then earrings. The books took too long to make, but after the first 2 pairs the earring making went well. I ended up making 20 pairs! Our 19 year old son was with us for part of the week, so he helped set up. He and Clemy hung out with me. I helped him make a little book he could use for notes and put in his... House sitting and the Farmer's Market...

Tonight work went well. Greg stayed home for the first job, but we still had 4 people to clean, so it went pretty fast. The second job I did with Greg. We had a little misunderstanding about what we were supposed to clean. It is all written down and I didn't take his word for it, so that caused a little stress. But it worked out, as we decided we could do the extras on Tuesday nights when I can work. I am a detailed cleaner, so I felt better about doing the detailing. Tomorrow I leave in the... About this Blog

I plan on writing about past and present life experiences and what I have learned from them. I also want to tell stories of things in my past, some humourus, some serious and some trivial. I have done some traveling and want to describe those places and people accurately, maybe in some cases changing names if I see it could embarrass someone. I will write out of my heart and hopefully give hope to some of my readers. I do not have all the answers, but have lived long enough to know there are many trials in life and obstacles. I want to examine life, it's simplicities and complexities and share my observation and at times opinions with others.
