Back in the USA

I thought the trip up to Tucson would be uneventful. It started out fine. We left the village at 9:00, with the windows locked and the house looking as if we were only leaving for a weekend. We got gas in Toltecas, 5 miles away and bought snacks at the store. The night before, our neighbor asked Petra if we could take her son and daughter to Santa Ana, where they would get a bus to Corboca to visit their sister. At the internet cafe' in Mexico again

I got away for a bit to try to write a little. My last entry was too long, but I didn't know how else to write about it all. Yesterday after I left the intenet cafe', I went to pick up the girls from our friends' house. We ended up eating "caldo de pollo", or chicken soup. Very good. I miss Mexican food and how they cook it a lot. When we left I did about #5 stupid thing. I locked my only key in the car. I'm writing from Mexico

Wednesday 6-24-09 I am writing all of this on Saturday evening from our house in Mexico. I haven't been able to get to an internet cafe' yet, but by the time I have this posted you will know I found one. I think I need to give an overview of how the trip went first though, before I tell about today. It is long, but there is no other way to tell about everything. Tomorrow I leave for Mexico

I had 2 hours of rest today, making earrings and bracelets with my friend. She taught me how. It wasn't that hard. Finally I attacked the trailer and didn't quite get it done by dark. I can finish it up when I get back from Texas. Tomorrow I leave for Mexico. I wanted to leave at 6:00, but I am going to sleep till I wake up. I might turn off my phone so I don't get a call at 6:00. Activities of the day

I slept in quite late. Part of the reason, is because I stayed up late (again). But, I got a phone call at 6:30 a.m. (for Greg) and then couldn't go back to sleep for quite some time. All his calls forward to my phone if he doesn't answer it. So, that makes me his secretary. This morning I was able to give away the yarn, kids' magazines and a bread maker to our friend and her sister. She is Mexican and will be riding the bus down tonight. About this Blog

I plan on writing about past and present life experiences and what I have learned from them. I also want to tell stories of things in my past, some humourus, some serious and some trivial. I have done some traveling and want to describe those places and people accurately, maybe in some cases changing names if I see it could embarrass someone. I will write out of my heart and hopefully give hope to some of my readers. I do not have all the answers, but have lived long enough to know there are many trials in life and obstacles. I want to examine life, it's simplicities and complexities and share my observation and at times opinions with others.
