Random Happenings

I see it's been awhile since I've written anything. Thursday through Sunday are busy for me. I had a really good week. I've been able to keep a better attitude and enjoy my work as well as my time at home. This week I was especially blessed by both elderly women I clean for. The first one is in her 80's. I basically do laundry, vacuum, make her bed and visit with her. She has some physical problems, but her mind is sharp. She is also becoming a friend to me, and not just someone I work for. The... Still living in "today"

I'm not even going to try to "catch up" on when I didn't write. I have enjoyed some time off. I am still learning about living in "today". It's really helping me. I've had a lot of peace since I've decided to let every day be important and every thing I do. I have been enjoying my work and not dreading it. I still get tired, but then I enjoy a nap! Cleaning at Burger King

It's time to get to bed, but I have a minute to write. Cleaning went well at Burger King last night. I got there just in time. 5 minutes sooner would have been better. They were just closing and I had to knock on the door for them to let me in. Of course it took longer than I thought it would, so the men's bathroom didn't get cleaned as well. New job

I've had 2 days off of work and feel rested. Tonight I will be starting a new job, that is only twice a month deep cleaning Burger King's bathrooms. (what fun!) I am already cleaning the owners' home, and they asked if I would want to clean the BK's bathrooms. I don't know how long they will take, but I'm guessing 2 hours or less. My husband's census job is over right now. He could get called to work out of town, but it's not a guarantee. He always has work though. Today he has a painting job.... Sign in to see full entry.

Live in the present and enjoy each day

This morning I went to Sunday School and the worship service. I want to share some things I learned and hope they are also helpful for you: Basically what I got out of the teaching, what spoke to my heart, was to live in TODAY and not in the future or past. If I do not enjoy the moment I will never be content or have joy. I need to enjoy every day the Lord gives me. About this Blog

I plan on writing about past and present life experiences and what I have learned from them. I also want to tell stories of things in my past, some humourus, some serious and some trivial. I have done some traveling and want to describe those places and people accurately, maybe in some cases changing names if I see it could embarrass someone. I will write out of my heart and hopefully give hope to some of my readers. I do not have all the answers, but have lived long enough to know there are many trials in life and obstacles. I want to examine life, it's simplicities and complexities and share my observation and at times opinions with others.
