I'm on a break for lunch now...

I'm in between housecleaning jobs right now. I came home for lunch and was surprised that my daughter had bought me a tin of smoked oysters. The label says they are full of iron. I probably could not eat these, except they were a treat when I was little, so they don't seem disgusting to me now. I got to my first job a little late, but all went well. The family left to go ride a pony, so I was able to clean without people underfoot. My break is about over, so I'd better get back to work. The next... Sign in to see full entry.

Scavenger hunt was a hit and other trivia...

I just lost my post. I still haven't started copying and pasting from another word processing program! I found out you cannot use the "google" search in the same tab as blogit, because when I came back all my writing was gone! Now it's not going to be easy to re-write it! I guess i will just say that we had a great scavenger hunt. Each business that we went to had an envelope for my daughter with her name and Happy Birthday written on it. Smoke in the kitchen...

Today I kept pushing the snooze button on my alarm. I didn't have to get up as early as I had set it, so my hand found the button. I could smell burnt grease in the air, and I figured that my husband had been doing some cooking. Sometimes he makes his own breakfast, other times he eats fruit and yogurt and I occasionally make him breakfast. I do better on lunches and suppers. So, I went back to sleep. A birthday scavenger hunt...

Today one of my daughters' turned 14. We are going to have a scavenger hunt for her in about an hour. Yesterday my oldest daughter drove around town and left "clues" at different businesses. Today we will start with the first clue, which leads to the second... It should be fun. It will end at the park for a Barbecue, then bowling after that. It's pretty fun to have older kids involved. A restful day...

I just spend too long on the computer, checking out sales on SLR digital cameras. I will keep them in mind for later when I have the money... This morning I cleaned for the elderly lady that lives out of town. A pretty easy job. I don't even mind cleaning the cat-litter box. It was a pretty drive watching the combines harvest wheat. About this Blog

I plan on writing about past and present life experiences and what I have learned from them. I also want to tell stories of things in my past, some humourus, some serious and some trivial. I have done some traveling and want to describe those places and people accurately, maybe in some cases changing names if I see it could embarrass someone. I will write out of my heart and hopefully give hope to some of my readers. I do not have all the answers, but have lived long enough to know there are many trials in life and obstacles. I want to examine life, it's simplicities and complexities and share my observation and at times opinions with others.
