Words and the power of misunderstanding.

I am amazed at how often I misinterpret, misunderstand people's comments, words, emails. It seems to me that words are a minefield ready to explode in your face, when you least expect it. I stare at the words, puzzled, not really understanding what the story is, then I am told the comments were... Sign in to see full entry.

Feeding the blogit machine.

How do you feed this blogin machine? This mean machine munching And mincing my every word Hungry monster waiting for me to deliver slivers of words Random thought patterns tastily arranged mental fodder Choice morsels on silver platter. I do not have time to concoct another story for the larder. I... Sign in to see full entry.

The heart of discipline...

How can I tidy up the mess in my head? and put structure in my writing The words are swinging from the rafters like cob webs at a spider party. I put an ad for a cleaner but nobody came forward... Surprise surprise I offered a million dollars but still there were no takers. Decided to take the... Sign in to see full entry.

Poetry! A wonderful hiding place!

Poetry! A wonderful hiding place! Poetry is a wonderful writing form, but it can hide a multitude of sins, many of which I am guilty of. Writing poetry is not an excuse for writing whatever pops into your head, add a few rhymes then call it poetry. Poetry is not a cesspit into which you spill your... Sign in to see full entry.
