comforts of home

It's cold outside and rainy. The heat is on inside. I enter the warmth and it caresses my face and wafts across my hands, accentuating their chill. The smell of home greets my nose, comforting it with a goodness and familiarity. I hang my coat on the sturdy maple kitchen chair deposit my hat,... Sign in to see full entry.

the way of the horse

standing at the rock formation watching the rain fall, collecting it on their backs breathing in the damp coolness surrounding them startled they leap away, galloping madly through the mud and the rain, dashing headlong toward the fence! the oldest colt loses his footing and slides to a halt on his... summer 2004

Living in an old farmhouse, surrounded by kids, dogs, cats, horses and all manner of living, breathing things. This is the life!
