Got my books for the philosophy class, my student ID, my parking pass and set up an appointment to meet with the disability counselor. Didn't get the book for the mass media class, not about to pay $150 (paperback) for it if I can avoid it. Half that would be ridiculous. I'm going to start going to... Sign in to see full entry.

The orientation for Howard Community College was fabulous. I'm even more psyched about going to school now. Won two prizes an HCC umbrella and a $10 gift certificate for the bookstore. Still no money from social security. Sigh. The money is supposed to come about the same time as the letter, the letter came four days ago. Got myself signed up for classes. Didn't get the classes I wanted, Conflict Resolution was canceled the psychology of happiness was closed. Ended up with classes in philosophy and mass media. Got my award letter from social security so the actual money should reach me any day now. At first they said I would need a representative payee but that turned out to be a mistake.
