Talked to Neal tonight about his church. I think I'll try it next Sunday. This has been difficult for me. I don't want to go back to Columbia Church of Religious Science because of the way I was treated. The Baltimore church is too far away. Not that I mind driving so much, but it's important to me... Things are looking up. For the first time in the last month or so, I don't feel like I have to watch every penny I spend. With two greeting card checks on the way (at least) I've got a little breathing room, even if there's more delay in my getting back to work. Actually a delay in getting back to... I'm going to go home and collapse. I feel like crap. My body doesn't like this change in the weather. If this keeps up, I'm going to have to move out of Merryland to a place where the weather doesn't change so much. Sign in to see full entry.

Didn't do a whole lot today. Wasn't feeling well this afternoon so I went home and listened to some of my self improvement tapes. A good use of time I figured. Not much new on the job situation. Delegate Bobo's office forwarded my email to the legislative liason at Human Resources. I had no clue... Sign in to see full entry.

Things are definitely looking up. Now I've got Delegate Bobo's staff looking into my reinstatement in addition to Senator Kasemeyer's. Shouldn't be long now. In the meantime I've sold another card idea for $300. That will definitely make things more comfortable until the job situation is settled.... Sign in to see full entry.

Well that temp agency looks the most promising of all. I'm wondering whether in the long run I'd be better off going with Officeteam than going back to social services. It would be less money, but less stress and closer to home. Plus their temp jobs may lead to a permanent job that would pay better... Sign in to see full entry.

Well the game went pretty well last night and talking with Mark helped too. So I guess I won't give up being an umpire just yet. It's still fun most of the time. One good thing about the delay in going back to work is that it gives me time to see what happens with the head start job. It's less money... Sign in to see full entry.

It seems the people in Human Resources are having a lot of trouble grasping the idea of a leave of absence. I've emailed my elected representatives, maybe they can explain it to them. Heck this may work in my favor. Maybe if I'm not allowed to go back or if my return to work is improperly delayed,... Sign in to see full entry.

Things are hopping now. Job interview and a greeting card sale to Andrews and McMeel. And my phone is finally hooked up. Hooray. Actually the job interview was just a distraction. I'm going back to Social Services, it's just a matter of finding someone there whe understands the concept of a leave of... Sign in to see full entry.

Well gosh something actually happened. After listening to the phone not ring for a week I finally got a job interview today. Of course I don't really need an interview since I already have a job that I'm on leave of absence from, but since the folks at Social Services seem to be having some trouble...
