The Old Internet
I've just watched a video on YouTube about the early internet and what came before it. Overcome with a sense of nostalgia, I wanted to try and remember my first encounter with the Web. I can remember using Lycos and the AOL boards, long before Google was even thought of. They were hard work and often ended in nonsense, but it was an introduction to the big world. The first internet was an old US Navy system, and someone pointed out that in a nuclear war, it would die long before the people. So... Sign in to see full entry.
