Some where in the 90's I was lent a Big old Computer by a friend of a friend. First it had a typing course you could do for free so a dumb dumb even like me could type a bit. Then it had a built in game I loved. Free of course. My grown up grandchildren would sit on my knee and I would play it. Then one day I found Blogit and was hooked and I am still here!

I do miss the old days, but we have come so far now. I make a reasonable living online now, which did not exist back then. This site reminds me of the early days of Bulletin Boards.

Yes, I remember it well. We have come a long way. And as it is with any technology, some good things and some bad things. I used to drive many of the AOL executives to work when I worked for Boston Coach in the early 90's. They would give us a free disc to use to connect to the internet. So the habit was created.

My Dad said to my Mother, we can just about get a fridge or a television. We kids waited in silence. A refrigerator.😒

My first experience was Erols Internet, I think it was called. It was so exciting when my friend got it. I wanted to be at his house all the time.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane. My first experience with the world wide web was in 1998 when my stepdad dropped off a Packard Bell desktop computer as a gift. It took me a month to hook it up, get dial-up internet service, learn how to navigate the mouse, and get to searching. 28 years later, I can now fix a computer and navigate the web like a pro.
