You have to fix that

I was telling my son a story today on the way home from swim practice. You see he has been very interested in the guys in my caseload and has from time to time gone with me to one of my better houses. By better, I mean they are not behavioral and his safety is not an issue so I allow him to go with... Sign in to see full entry.

You want what?

Construction guy is on my last nerve. You see, he has a big hunting trip planned which he has told us about since we started talking about building a house. He wants to leave in three days. I say see ya. A few days ago we met with him and told him that until we have comittment letters from the banks... Sign in to see full entry.

Call me asap

Today I was at work and did not have my cell phone for awhile. When I turned it back on, this was the text message waiting for me from my husband. He works out of town and leaves on Monday mornings. I had already talked to him so I knew that his flight went fine and that he had safely arrived at... Sign in to see full entry.

He is starving for attention

I wrote a note to my youngest son's teacher the other day. She called me and talked to me at length. She spent a good deal of time telling me that my son is starved for attention. She told me that he asks questions at inappropriate times and does not raise his hand. She says he needs more modeling... Sign in to see full entry.

The day will come

We are moving. Next weekend, we will be out of our house. This old house that we fixed up that when we moved into it, we were 23 years old and proud to become homeowners. It was a run down little bungalow in small town America that over the years we have improved and it is now a pretty nice house.... Sign in to see full entry.

The Unfortunate Woman

The other day I was reviewing records on a little lady that came to my caseload about a month ago. I have to make sure that she has had all of the appropriate medical follow up. She is 78 years old so she should have had a colonoscopy, mammogram, dexa scan (checks for osteoporosis), and this list... Sign in to see full entry.

They called us today

As you know, we have sold our house. We will be moving. The unusual thing about this is that new people have called us two days in a row. They have told my husband their story. The want the small town life for their children. The want the small town life for themselves. I get it. My husband talked... Sign in to see full entry.

Love this as much as we do

Last night the neighbors had a camp fire. They had hot dogs and the makings for the smores. My boys and the boys from next door were over there. My husband and I were there. The neighbors two golden retrievers and our two hound dogs were there. Everyone talked and laughed. The wood for the fire... Sign in to see full entry.

Should she sell out?

My sister called yesterday. She is an ICU nurse with an ICU. She's not like me. She was upset. She has to be deposed for a lawsuit. She is looking for some company in her misery. You see, at one point in my career, I worked with some suspicious fellows that got sued alot and I have been deposed... Sign in to see full entry.

Success or failure?

For those of you who don't know me, I am an operating room nurse with no operating room. I now take care of developmentally disabled individuals. I am responsible for managing the medical care of 25 very complicated people with multiple medical issues among other things. I got to my office at 7:00... Sign in to see full entry.
