Could you please tell me what you think this icon is:

Okay, trivial question for sure, but no one seems to know!! And enquiring minds are just dying here!

Hey, Blogit, here's some Twilight Zone for you!

http://www.blogit.com/Blogs/Blog.aspx/callmefreedom

Pretty good, an inactive blog went from about #14,000 to #575 overnight?

Do we owe Freedom some money or something?

Update Credit Card details...

Hi, I need to update my credit card account with you. Is there a link to click on from blogit.com. I do have an email that was sent to me with a link but am wary of using it because it is so easy for fraudsters to send emails and get details from unsuspecting people and then rip off their credit card details

How do I add pictures to my side bar?

Adding pictures to a post is easy as long as you're using explorer. I use firefox, so the tool bar was available to me. I just figured this part out ;o). However, I still can't figure out how to add pictures to my side bar. Sandi

Over the past few days I’ve noticed something that has annoyed me somewhat. It seemed that every time I logged onto Blogit I would see the same headline (A Tiny Leak Will Sink A Great Ship) at the top of the New Posts menu option on Blogit. At first, I just thought it was coincidence that the same headline glared at me each time I logged in, so I paid it no mind. Then it happened just once too many times to be coincidence and it grabbed my attention.

Now, before I launch into any sort of rant about violating Blogit’s Conduct Policy, I checked the paragraph of that policy this “great ship” headline brought to mind for me. The paragraph reads like this:

“Respect the rights of others to enjoy Blogit. Please do not participate in antisocial, disruptive, or destructive acts. This includes but is not limited to, "flaming" (making insulting criticisms or remarks to incite anger), "spamming" (posting numerous and/or unwanted and disruptive items), and "trolling" (intentionally inciting negative disruption, such as posting to make purely negative or disruptive comments)”.

[Underline emphasis mine –DM]

I ask, exactly what is spamming? According to the Conduct Policy, spamming means posting numerous posts (among other things.) Now that sounds pretty vague to me. What is numerous? I surely do not know. I just know that the author of the “great ship” blog was getting on my last nerve with their “numerous” posts this morning.

So I checked. How often did this “great ship” blog show up at the top of the New Posts column this morning? Well, quite a few times, which is more than "numerous" in my book, but you can check and decide on your own. For the record, the “great ship” blog appeared at the top of the New Posts column at least seven times this morning alone. During one intense period, the “great ship” blog appeared at 6:07, 6:34, 6:35, 6:36 and 6:39 this morning. (All times Pacific Standard Time. And the frequency of Shoie's posts has intensified as the day has gone on.)

Five posts in just over 30 minutes. Would you call that numerous?

Four posts within five minutes. Would you call that numerous?

     Would you call it disruptive?

Would you call it a violation of Blogit’s Conduct Policy?

     I would.

Is there something Blogit can do about this spamming blogger? She doesn't seem to mind inhibiting everyone else's opportunity for cultivating additional readership by her apparent attempts to monopolize the top of the New Posts column. By posting every few minutes, Shoie prevents other bloggers from gaining attention from additional readers or new subscribers. Please do something about Shoie's inconsiderate approach to her fellow bloggers at Blogit.com.

                                                        Thanks in advance.

Question for Anyone

I've noticed that some people have pictures in their "About this Blog" sidebar.  I know how to put one into a post and on the about me page, but how do you put one into the sidebar?

Congratulations Blogit!

I'm glad that you retitled your Romance & Sex under the Relationships banner! This really puts your categories more in line with your Conduct Policy and probably avoids any unpleasant federal meddling in our little literary community. What's more, Blogit parents can now leave their browser open to Blogit with a great deal more confidence that their children will not accidentally read something clearly not meant for their tender eyes.

Again, congratulations and thanks!

I know we have a distribution list, but I would love to read the people who read me, yet don't make comments....
