When I send an E mail in response to someone who has 'made a comment'- I seem to be getting it back to myself ?---or is this simply a 'copy' for myself--or--is it because the recipient has blocked e mails?

My first blog called "Not So Much Toilet Humor As It Is Humor On The Toilet" was indeed a crude attempt at humor, but I was hoping by sharing my embarrasing stories it would get a laugh.
I've never written a blog before or even a personal journal, so I dont know what the people here expect. I'm not even sure what types of people are here, what age range.
I can surely tone down my subject matter, and I plan to, but I also want to express myself, too.
Maybe Im just getting tired but I cant find anything that explains what the use of permalink is> Help....thanku.
