"Affiliation"?

Am I "affiliated" with the Blogging Network?  I'm not an employee, but it's where I spend my days.  I am a member.

I recently filled out the form to sign up for the Shakespeare Association of America annual conference in New Orleans, April 8-10 (Easter weekend).  It asked for "Affiliation"?  I'm a housewife, trying to become a succussful book publisher on the topic of the cryptanalysis of Shakespeare.  I try to keep my alma mater's name out of it because I no longer go to school or work there, even though I still live in the same small town.  So, my true affiliation is my husband.  But I'm having the Blogging Network display my work, for now, as I'm trying to work it up.  So, this is a good advertisement, I think--to have it on my name tag.  The Blogging Network doesn't object, does it?... Since I'm not an employee, and all....

for newbies

I'm always interested in checking out who's new on the BN. The new posts is one way of seeing them come through and there are some bloggers out there that will post about newbies.

A feature that I'd like to suggest is something called: New Members Today. That way people can see who's coming into the BN, welcome them to the neighbourhood and read new blogs.

Question ..... comments

How come these comments are posted under new comments, yet when you click the link, they do not show up on the page?

Hi, I'm New Here

I just wanted to ask how I can get others to read my work. I have been having a lot of fun reading and commenting on several pieces. I feel a little let down that not very many have read me. I wanted to get some honest feed back about my writing. Is the silence telling me, "Your Stuff Sucks!" ???? Can anyone help me?

Upgraded Comments

Wouldn't it be cool to be able to read the comments from a blogger?  Like a search feature where you enter a blogger's nickname and get all the comments they have left.  I would like to see this for more than just the comments I have posted to other blogs (which I believe has been requested already) but also to be able to search for comments from OTHER bloggers.

How do you respond to a post?

I've just read a humorous post and didn't find the feature to click in order to respond to that post. Anyone awake out there who can give me a lending hand?

no image hosting :(

I just joined this service and I am a little disappointed that there is no space for users to upload images. I understand that users get paid and all, but for 5.95 a month you would think there would be some image hosting- even if its just a little.

An apology and then a question

I did not realize, through my ignorance, there was a place to post questions about writing until just now. Yesterday or the day before I posted a question about info relating to writing a True Crime Book and that was not the place to post it.

I just don't want anyone thinking it was a ploy to get clicks.

Now..

Can anyone give me some advice, what is considered to be public record? I'm researching a murder that happened in 1971. I found the newspaper articles about the case but nothing about court dates or decisions. I can find anything and am at a block in the road.

Thanks,
Andrea

I too have a question concerning deleteing blogs

I have written quite a few blogs, and they are kept in a folder on here, to stay until either the network gets overloaded, or until the owner of the blog decides the blog in question has seen better days.  I wish I knew the answer to the question," to Delete or not to delete, and is there a time limit?  and if there is no time limit, will the network get overloaded?
