A suggestion for Blogit on improving blogs...

I've recently been doing some housecleaning (or should I say, Blog-cleaning) and it's been a pain in my rear!  I'm going back to January of 2004 to get rid of some older posts and every time I delete one, it takes me back to my most current post then I have to click all the way back to January again.

Could you guys (and gals) work on getting some kind of delete post page where all posts (maybe 25 to 50 per page) are listed with radio buttons next to them so we can choose the posts we wish to get rid of and delete them all with the click of a button?

To help clarify which posts are being deleted, the post subject line, the date, and maybe even the first line of the post could be displayed....

Just thinking out loud here...it would be nice... :)

I have been unable to copy & paste any text or link onto any of my blogs.

Nothing is working.  Can anyone offer a suggestion?

Are there any ways to have one's blog read more often(tech. Tricks, etc.)

other than consistent quality writing?

Permalink and New Comments

This is in answer to a question on Town Square.

Permalink provides you with the Permanent Link or URL for that particular post or comment. If you click on permalink under a comment or post, you'll see the URL in your browser's address field change to give you the permanent link.

When you use that, you'll be taken directly to that particular post or comment. This is useful when you're pointing someone to a particular post rather than the blog -- where the most recent posts will show up on top.

At this time we only have the latest Comments showing up on the New Comments page. We will consider adding additional pages of comments in the near future.

Thank you.

Most Comments

Does the "Most Comments" link relate to people who have made the most comments, or received the most?  I am assuming it's the former, but would like to know for sure.

HELP!!!

http://www.blogit.com/Blogs/Blog.aspx/StieSitesByAJ/181040

Please go to my latest blog entry, read it, and give me your feedback.

If you don't do it soon, I won't be seeing it for several days, as I'll be gone.

But I'm in danger, perhaps, of losing my account over this--or, as I wrote in a corresponding comment a little bit later, this might be bogus and the person or persons behind this need to be caught and dealt with.

Will be online a little while longer, so thank you for getting back to me!

AJ :)

Hey blogit!!!!

Now everything wants to be bigger on my pages of post as well as comments.

I don't like what is happening with these scroll bars that have appeared. I don't like the. Please make them all go away.

Thanks very much. Man-boy

new blog category please

i'd llke it to be called someting scary like metaphysics and scholastics, although philosophy and social science would do as well. i think it is important that blogit, which is ill named (too childish), needs to have some sort of a core aside from the chat and political opinion aspects. which are plesant and/or theraputic enough. serious exchanges about writing could supply that core, but i think that blogit is in a unique position to provide a forum for people who want to get philosophical or scholastic ideas off their minds, or "try them" on others, but are not in a university setting or don't have access to the publication world. I suppose people in these settings would be a little wary about revealing things they intend to publish, but there is also an impulsiveness to critical thought that is not that much different than blathering on about one's favorite song or movie, so it's possible that if the forum were healthy enough, meaning you can believe that there are really hundreds of people who could potentially be reading your thoughts, established names just might feel compelled to drop in. what is important is that there is enough people involved so that if someone burns out it doesn't cripple the dialog, which is largely the situation now. the obvious starting point is to have a category named in such a way that people will deliberately avoid it if they are not interested. i'd also request your deleting lists and whatnot, and making no appologies about it. as it is it is difficult to find these types of blogs and they tend to dissappear for lack of feedback.

Hey Blogit!!!!

Why is my comments box big? Make it stop!!!!!

Blogit

Can I post a poem I wrote & sold if the editor returned rights back to me after publishing it?  She said, I only need to write that it was first published in her magazine.  Also, to update a post to a more recent time, do I need to move it to a different catagory or just repost it?  Thank you for your help.
