Take the work out of window washing. Well, not really, but the Mr. Clean car wash system that offers the no-touch drying works great for windows also. The job it does isn’t quiet the quality of the old squeegee but when your windows are hard to reach it is much easier if you don’t have to dry them.... Sign in to see full entry.

We are not all created equal.
It’s true. Take Tiger, he can out golf me any day of the week. Bill Cosby is funnier than I can ever be by a landslide. Alex Hailey can write circles around me. No, we are not created equal, we all have our own strengths. What should be equal is our opportunities to make the most of what life has to... Sign in to see full entry.

My car, the mother.
A trivial pun to be sure but more than true this weekend. I finally got around to removing the power steering pump and replacing the variable assist solenoid. This time I succeeded at getting the alternator back in so the cooling duct could be attached. Also in a stroke of genius (or on my previous... Sign in to see full entry.

Ok, so I’m a racist.
There is one race that is lazy, stupid and generally bad for everything. That’s right, it’s you and me, the human race. We live on a small planet with finite resources and yet we live as if there is no tomorrow. We think the rising gasoline prices are due to oil companies price gouging and... How late is it?
Once again I will be penalized for posting so late at night. Important things first, blogging when all else is done. It would be cool to see my ratings rise but it is equally cool (and much easier) to get some things accomplished around the old domicile. It will also be a car repair weekend for me.... Ebony & Ivory.
We don’t live together in perfect harmony. We try but it doesn’t quite seem to go the way idealists would like it to. People say things, people like Bill Bennet. I won’t go into what he said, everyone else on the news front has that covered. What was in Bill’s head when he said that? We can’t really... Sign in to see full entry.

Test Drive
That new car smell luring you? Now of course it is known that smell is a chemical soup, none of which is very good for humans. So why does a new car smell so damn good? Probably the idea more than anything. I was reminded of that when I drove a new 2006 Chevrolet Impala LT today. The largest... Sign in to see full entry.
What is nature telling us?
There is a message in the recent tsunamis, storms and fires. No, God is not pissed because we are a bunch of hedonistic poopheads although, who could blame Him? The real lesson here is we are an over populated world. We continually cram ever denser populations into areas that are vulnerable to the... Sign in to see full entry.

One nation, under???
To pledge or not to pledge, that is the question. After all, that nasty pledge contains the G word and God help us if we have to say it. How can the pledge of allegiance be unconstitutional? Before you brand me a bible thumper, let me state for the record, I am an agnostic. There, I said it, it’s... Sign in to see full entry.

How sick am I going to be?
I feel a cold coming on. Or maybe Rubella. Perhaps mumps. Typhoid. Whooping cough? I just filled out my estimated medical expenses for next year so we can use the flex plan at my wife’s office. The only trouble is, how the hell do I know what it will cost me next year to stay partially healthy? Last... Sign in to see full entry.
