EATING DISORDERS AND MORTALITY

5% of patients with eating disorders die within five years of diagnosis. It is the highest mortality rate of any mental illness. An article about this appeared in today's Boston Globe. WHAT'S NEWSWORTHY?

Four generations of women from one family die in a car crash and it is relegated to some small column in the back of the NYT. Jemmie wondered why it hadn't gotten more attention. 4 GENERATIONS OF A FAMILY DIE IN A NEW JERSEY CRASH

A headline in a small article on a back page in today's NYT. The dead were all women.
