We haven’t had much rain this year, but for some unknown reason there have been more wild flowers that we’ve seen since we moved here almost six years ago. After the autumn and spring rains they sprang up by the million everywhere that one looked. Below is a photo of a field of poppies, that form great swathes across the fields, and edge each roadside verge with scarlet.
