FLOWER GIRL He was heart flutteringly handsome, and when he came into her florist shop – which was almost every day – he was very shy and seeming nervous in her presence. Every time he came in he said “ One rose please”, and it was usually red, but sometimes white, and she always put a small spray of fern with it, in a pretty new foil and clear plastic sleeve.
