Do we still defend the Constitution

against all enemies, foreign and domestic? We certainly have had a plethora of domestic enemies to our Constitution lately, including the President, Congress and a whole slew of state legislators. How do we go about defending against their ruination of our Constitution. Well, first, we vote. Get out every election and vote for those who support the Constitution. If none do, Pick someone who will for the next election and support hat person financially and verbally. Flood your representatives... Sign in to see full entry.

We are going downhill fast!

Sure, Kerry would have been worse, but our supposedly conservative President is going to the left big time. Come on, Veterans, write our President and tell him that he needs to stop giving our money away; he needs to start vetoing all bills spending money on new projects ($200 Billion for Katrina? Come on, Mr. Bush. Why? Read your Constitution.) Sign in to see full entry.

Police and Army taking away citizens' guns in LA

That action, confiscating citizens' weapons, is a direct violation of those citizens' right to defend themselves and is ample basis for armed resistence. When my government starts to disarm me without my using that weapon in a harmful manner, then that government is no longer mine and I resist its authority over my actions. Sign in to see full entry.

We, folks, are the government.

We chose it; what we have is what we thought we wanted. Is that true? Do we realy want what we have, a government that is chipping away at civil liberties, demolishing individual rights, turning us into PC morons? Are we now a nation that values safety over liberty? Shameful if true. Are we a nation that wants our government to exert parental control over all our activities? Shameful if true. It is time to look at our government, ourselves, and to determine what we really want to have as a free... Sign in to see full entry.

The House Gave Away the Store,

so to speak, when it approved the re-enactment of the "Patriot Act" (A misnomer if ever there was one!). Will the Senate complete the movement toward tyranny by approving what the House started? I certainly hope not. Giving away our rights is not the way to fight those who would take our rights from us. Sign in to see full entry.

Military Not a Job?

Some people still don't understand why military personnel do what they for a living. This exchange between Senators John Glenn and Senator Howard Metzenbaum is worth reading. Not only is it a pretty impressive impromptu speech, but it's also a good example of one man's explanation of why men and women in the armed services do what they do for a living. This is a typical, though sad, example of what some who have never served think of our military. JOHN GLENN ON THE SENATE FLOOR Date: Mon, 26 Jan... Sign in to see full entry.

Time for a Complete Turn-Over of Government . . . .

Peaceful or otherwise. This veteran is getting tired of our rights being shold down the river by this Congress and by this administration, with nary a peep from the Supreme Court. Let's try to keep it peaceful, at least for the time being. Let's make it a point to really study before the next election; check out what our "leaders" are doing other than enriching themselves, enriching their bank accounts and strengthening their power, at the expense of good government that supports our... It would be difficult . . .

for me to wear my old uniform today, not because it no longer fits, it does, but because of what I would be asked to defend. When I was commissioned as a Naval Officer, I swore an oath to Defend the Constitution. Well, fellow veterans, fellow citizens, take a look around; take a look at things such as the grossly misnamed "Patriot" Act, an act that presumes all to be criminal until we can prove otherwise, often without benefit of a hearing or an attorney. How about being monitored by FBI and CIA... Sign in to see full entry.

Ted Kennedy's Rants

In a newsletter I received from the Ted Kennedy Camp today, he lauds Dean as party leader. Something definitely wrong there! He mention's howard Dean's Plan for the party! Must be a secret p-lan because I have not heard of it, nor did Kennedy outline it in his newsletter. Maybe there is a secret to just yelling "Yeeeeee Haa!" that will fix everything? Nope; didn't help with Dean's run for office..... Another intereting thing about the newsletter is that there is a link to contribute money, but... Sign in to see full entry.
