Walking . . . .

There was an interesting article in today's Virginian-Pilot regarding walking. the article claimed that if one walks an average of 10,000 steps a day, they will do much to imporve their health. Based on the site I posted yesterday. The obvious direct health-related factors, of course, are nutrition, drinking habits, smoking habits, exercise, and regular check-ups. A 101 year old Mexican lady is still teaching. She founded the school in Mexico where she is now the Principal. She founded the school and has worked there since 1947. I have read that caring of pets and plants

or at least one of the two will help one live longer. It offers joy and focus if you choose things that relate to life and to growth. I'm not sure if I lengthened my life today, or if it just felt that way!

My wife and I went to see Mystic River at the Norfolk MacArthur Mall this afternoon, the 1530 showing. We walked both ways, which was a round trip of about 7 miles. That has got to be healthy, but I don't know how it would affect longevity directly. Sign in to see full entry.
