Just read that the pro-Syrian government of Lebanon has tendered its resiognation; Could that event have been motivated by fear of repriasals from Israel? Or the United States? More likely Israel. Has anyone noticed that our high-level federal officials have been talking about Iran in virtually identical terms they used when they talked about Iraq just about two years ago? I predict Iran will be under attack by us or by a force led by us before another "State of the Union" speech. Is this good or is it bad? I honestly have not yet made up my mind about its overall benefit to us and our world community, but, I would prefer our officials be more open bout it, or shut up and surprise us. One... Well! It's about time! They complained about the U. S. assistance and it is just now that they are "stepping in." Who made them "God of Crisis Management" for the world? What losers. We really need to get out of the U. N. What gall! Compare us to any other nation in the world in the area of generosity, compassion and giving during crises and we will top the list every time. It is time to depart the U.N. and let them see how well they do without the U. S. This is particularly galling considering the money their Secretary General and his family made off the Iraqi oil deals, illegally, I may well add.
