Ashcroft's Coming to town . . . .

Mr. Ashcroft is possibly coming to Norfolk, VA; with the so-called Patriot Act, this Patriot is concerned that Mr. Ashcroft and his cronies in the government will determine if we've been naughty or nice without due process. It is fine to apprehend criminals and terrorists and to place them into our legal system, and even to out-technology them to get them off our streets and into prison. An Appeal?

I heard from someone that the judge has been granted an appeal on the decision to move the Ten Commandments. Has anyone else heard this? I also heard the same judge who ruled the statue had to be moved will hear the appeal. Is this normal? I thought it had to be a different, higher judge to hear an appeal. How Dire is the Ten Commandments Fiasco in Alabama

Do the Ten Commandments harm non-Judeo/Christians? You would think so with all the ranting and raving to get the statue of the revered tablets out of the Alabama courthouse. Show me the harm, however, and I’ll agree to move that icon of our legal system. Until then, leave it be.
