Whew! I just discovered I'm not crazy! I'm a little whacky, maybe a tad disorganized, but not truly crazy. Yet for a while last night I really thought I was losing it... Heck I thought I lost it. - I was watching TV and eating candy. I had bought a package of Starburst and was eating one of each color. It's snowing just a little and the recently re-paved street out front looks like it is steaming! Can you see what I mean? Sorta weird. Now today would be the perfect day to stay home and make soup. Yeah, that was in my e-mail in box. I know, I should have just deleted it...But I looked. That is what they wanted me to do. They were selling Hoodia. Seems like I have heard of that. But I know what they are promising is impossible. This got me thinking about other outrageous e-mails I have gotten. - One offered to sell me land on the moon! Humm-uh. No! What do socks and superballs have to do with one another? Well, I was cleaning out my sock drawer when I found some old superballs. It has been a long time since I cleaned out that drawer. I found a scarf I could have used last month when I was shovelling snow, and some socks I haven't worn since high school. I wonder, should give them away? OK. So I bought a brand new DVD player/ recorder today! I hooked it up and even recorded part of a basketball game...sigh. I decided to set it up to catch "Desperate Housewives" tomorrow. Then I was at the Library and picked up a DVD and this is what happened when I tried to play it! Wait it gets worse! A friend of mine was remembering his visit to Italy with his sons back in the 1960's He was telling us about a day on the streets of Florence (Firenze). It was a beautiful bright day, people were strolling along, horse drawn taxi's were competing for business. - Everyone was happy and smiling when all of a sudden one fellow paused and burst into song! OK. It's not really an earthquake. But my house is shaking and rumbling like a small earthquake. They are re-paving the street in front of the house. Each time that the big paving machine rumbles passed, the whole house quivers and shakes! - Then the steam roller follows and the not so good vibrations continue. Surprisingly no pictures have fallen off the wall. Nothing even fell over cracked or broke. I do know now I have a few windows that are a little loose. I need to have them sealed. - As... While wandering around Wal-mart I found a DVD recorder for under a hundred dollars. Not bad when you remember that when they first came out they were more than a thousand dollars. - Now I am not familiar with the brand. I think it was a ILLO. I didn't buy one, maybe because it sounded like it might make me ill.
